Coach Spins' Favorite Draft Sleepers
Who in the 2023 NBA Draft is best primed to outperform draft position or pre-draft consensus?
Annually, this is my favorite draft piece of the cycle.
The term ‘sleeper’ is one that is a tad too colloquial and has several different meanings, depending on the context. Allow me to give my best attempt: a guy who isn’t getting enough credit for having the skill level to make a major impact in the NBA or will outperform their draft position.
I’m going to dive into all different types of sleepers: guys who I have top-30 grades on who were underrated (or at least were early in the cycle before starting to break out lately). There are also some second-round prospects who I’m quite high on, and some undrafted free agents who I believe are very intriguing and have the skill level to push forward in the league.
I’m bringing forward ten prospects here who, for better or for worse, are ‘my guys’ in this class to outperform expectations that are set for them pre-draft.
