Why the league's new tool of using two-way contracts for second-round picks should cause trepidation for all young prospects on the fence of declaring for the draft
We're told that CBA negotiations include the Association wanting to make 18 year-olds eligible for the draft and the Players Association asking for some protection for veterans. I think the logical compromise is to increase the roster sizes perhaps adding more two-way contracts for the players coming directly from high school. How would that affect your thinking?
There are a lot of adjustments in the CBA that would be wise to accommodate young players. The only holdup, as far as I can see, is the fact that not every NBA team has their own G-League program. Until that is mandated by the league, it's hard to enforce or make too many alterations... at least the ones I would propose/ see working best
